📜 Release of Liability & Acknowledgement of Risk
In consideration of training and fees paid, I understand that martial arts training carries inherent risks. I voluntarily accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage I may incur while participating in any Alive Dojo class, activity, or event.
I agree to hold harmless Alive Dojo, its owners, instructors, staff, volunteers, and participants from any and all claims arising from my involvement.
I confirm that:

I am in good physical condition to train.

Alive Dojo provides first aid only in the event of injury.

I will follow all instructor directions and safety rules.

I will not train while unwell, under the influence, or physically compromised.
📸 Media Release
I give permission for Alive Dojo to use photos, video, or audio taken of me (or my child) for promotional or educational purposes without additional consent or compensation. If I wish to opt out, I will notify the dojo in writing.
🧼 Dojo Etiquette & Expectations
For Students:

Leave ego at the door — train with humility.

No shoes on the mat; wear shoes off the mat

Trim fingernails and toenails; maintain good hygiene

Wear a clean Gi and maintain personal cleanliness

Do not train when sick or under the influence.

Respect the instructor and fellow students

Yield to higher belts when rolling

No arguing , swearing or negative behavior.

Always thank your partners after training.

Be respectful and inclusive.

Enjoy the journey and have fun.
For Parents/Guardians:

No side-line coaching or instructions to children during class
-
Viewing is welcome during week 1 and week 10 of each term only

Please trust our instructors to manage class flow and student progress
📄 Terms and Conditions
💰 Fees & Payment

Adults: Billed weekly in advance and ongoing until cancelled.

Children: Term-based payment due before the start of each term. All children's term fees must be paid in full by the end of the first week of the term.

Free Trial: New members may attend one week of free training (up to 2 classes).

Late Payments: Reminders may be issued. Continued non-payment may result in paused access.

Refunds: Missed classes are non-refundable. Term fees are not prorated unless an injury occurs and arrangements are made in advance.
📆 Membership Suspension or Cancellation

14 days’ notice is required to suspend or cancel membership (notice by email, text, or written form is accepted).

Membership may be paused for holidays, injury, or extended absence with notice.

Rejoining after cancellation is subject to space availability.
🛡️ Liability
Alive Dojo is not responsible for personal injury, lost property, or insurance coverage. Participation in any class, activity, or event is entirely at your own risk.
🔒 Privacy
Your personal information is kept secure and used solely for internal dojo communication, scheduling, and administrative purposes. We do not share your information with third parties.
🧭 Conduct Policy
Alive Dojo reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund in cases of:

Dangerous, reckless, or unsafe behavior

Harassment, bullying, or discrimination

Serious breaches of dojo etiquette or disrespect toward instructors or fellow students

Repeated failure to follow safety instructions or dojo rules

Any behavior that compromises the wellbeing of the dojo community
We are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful training environment. All members are expected to uphold these values.
Declaration:
I have read and understood the Waiver and Terms & Conditions above. I confirm I am over 18 years of age, fit to participate, and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
(If under 18, this must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.)
